Error: No Operating System!

Have you ever experienced this error before? Or are you currently experiencing it frequently? If the answer to both questions is yes, then this means one thing: your hard drive is either failing or has already crashed altogether.

For example, let’s say you are working on your PC or laptop. As you are backing up your data on the hard drive, the error message occurs. Or even when you are booting your machine the error message appears. What this means is that the sectors on the hard disk that have been allocated space for the operating system have been corrupted. Most of the time, the corruption of these sectors is caused by presence of viruses. These viruses change the original information of the operating system stored in the hard drive sectors. Since the system is unable to interpret the changed information, the error message is displayed.

So what do you do?

One thing you can attempt (if you are an IT specialist) is to try and re-install the operating system without formatting the hard disk. This should only be done by experienced, technical IT specialist. If you are a normal computer user, please do not attempt this because you risk losing all your information.

Another thing you can do is to call a data recovery expert. Since your computer is in the process of crashing or probably has already crashed, it is important to recover as much information as possible, as early as possible. The data recovery specialist will request for your hard drive which will go through a recovery process and your data will be recovered.

Therefore, the next time you see this error message, contact a data recovery specialist to help you salvage and recover your information early. More articles on computer error messages here
